Dear EISB School Community,

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the English International School – Baghdad (EISB). As the Academic Director, I am honoured to be part of a vibrant and diverse community where academic excellence, personal growth, and global citizenship are at the heart of everything we do.

Since opening our doors in August 2018, EISB has grown from a modest villa with just 70 students into a thriving international school serving learners from Pre-K to Grade 12. Today, we are supported by a highly qualified team of over 100 dedicated educators from around the world, all united by a shared commitment to delivering a world-class education in Iraq.

Our journey has been defined by continuous progress and a steadfast dedication to high standards. EISB is proud to be the first Pearson Edexcel exam centre in Iraq, holding Gold Partnership Status. We are recognised by the Ministry of Education and have successfully completed a British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection, earning recognition from the Department for Education (DfE) in the United Kingdom. Our affiliations with COBIS, BSME, FOBISIA, and AoBSO further reflect our adherence to the highest benchmarks in British international education.

At EISB, we strive to create an inspiring and supportive environment where students can truly excel. From cutting-edge facilities and an innovative curriculum to our certified safeguarding team, QTS-certified teachers, fully equipped school clinic, and dedicated social worker, every aspect of our school is designed to nurture the academic, emotional, social, and personal development of our students. We also take great pride in our comprehensive careers programme and our status as a licensed UCAS Centre, ensuring our learners receive the guidance and support they need to access the best pathways and universities around the world.
