EISB is thrilled to be the first and only school in Iraq to have been welcomed to join a team of over 100 elite DfE accredited schools around the world in obtaining Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO) membership. Words cannot express our gratitude to Sir Roger Fry and Mr Mark Bignell for bestowing our school with this honour. As a member of AoBSO we endeavour to ensure the education we provide to our students continues to meet the internationally renowned British School Standards with the support, guidance and advice of the AoBSO community.

The English International School-Baghdad has proven itself to be in a league of its own as the first and only International School in Iraq to be recognised by The British Government. We announce with great pride and honour that The Council of Ministries has determined that our school is now permanently accredited by The Council of Ministries. We were delighted to meet the regional team of Pearson in Dubai where we explored and planned our strategic partnership as the pioneer Pearson accredited school in Iraq. Mr. Tim Shanahan, EISB Curriculum Manager, briefed the Pearson team about our challenges, our achievements and our future plans. Ms. Kathryn Booth, Regional Director ( Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey) welcomed the visit and expressed appreciation to EISB and offered her continuing support to our school.
