At EISB, one of the key aspects of our school experience is the wide range of extracurricular activities available outside the regular classroom schedule, which greatly enriches our students’ lives. Across all three schools, co-curricular opportunities offered during lunchtime and after school give students the chance to explore cultural interests, participate in sports, or discover new passions from a variety of activities.

Our sporting options include football, swimming, and basketball, while cultural activities encompass book clubs, reading clubs, debate clubs, Model United Nations, and more.

We encourage our students to try something new each term, helping them broaden their horizons, develop new skills, and enjoy the journey.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at EISB

We are delighted to announce that, since May 2024, The English International School – Baghdad has proudly become a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) school. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering the holistic development of our students in Iraq.

By offering the prestigious DofE programme, we provide our students with the opportunity to grow both personally and socially. The DofE framework encourages resilience, leadership, and community involvement, enabling students to develop essential life skills while exploring their potential in a supportive and structured environment.

Through this programme, our students are encouraged to challenge themselves, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and become confident, responsible, and adventurous young leaders, ready to make a positive impact on the world.
